Ένα ινδικό μαχητικό αεροσκάφος τύπου Tejas που συμμετείχε στο Dubai Airshow συνετρίβη την Παρασκευή.
Το αεροσκάφος κατασκευασμένο από την HAL συνετρίβη γύρω στις 2:10 μ.μ. τοπική ώρα, ενώ εκτελούσε εναέρια επίδειξη μπροστά σε πλήθος και ο πιλότος φαίνεται πως δεν χρησιμοποίησε το σύστημα εκτίναξης.
Σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες, τις προηγούμενες μέρες υπήρχαν εικόνες με υδραυλικά υγρά να στάζουν από το αεροσκάφος.
Η Ινδική Πολεμική Αεροπορία επιβεβαίωσε τη συντριβή και δήλωσε ότι αναμένονται περισσότερες λεπτομέρειες. Σε ανακοίνωσή της, ανέφερε: «Το Indian A Tejas της IAF συνετρίβη στην Αεροπορική Έκθεση του Ντουμπάι-25. Περισσότερες λεπτομέρειες εξακριβώνονται αυτή τη στιγμή. Θα δώσουμε περισσότερες λεπτομέρειες.»
Πυκνός μαύρος καπνός υψώθηκε στο σημείο της συντριβής κοντά στο αεροδρόμιο προκαλώντας αναστάτωση στους περαστικούς, συμπεριλαμβανομένων οικογενειών με παιδιά που είχαν συγκεντρωθεί για να παρακολουθήσουν την επίδειξη.
