CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established group of companies with regional offices in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their team of professionals based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will possess a minimum of 5+ years of relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience and be fluent in both Greek and English.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely processing and bookkeeping of monthly invoices.
- Responsibility to manage accounts payable function with pro-active follow up on supplier invoice collection.
- Issue invoices and receipts to customers.
- Bank Reconciliations.
- Management of accounts receivable ledger.
- Liaising with internal departments to coordinate information required to support collection process.
- Manage process to collect outstanding balances from customers.
- Reconciliation of Customer and Supplier statements.
Key Skills/Experience:
- University degree holder in Accounting, Economics, Business, LCCI Higher or other related field.
- Experienced Bookkeeper with proven experience in Finance function, including reconciliations and general ledger review of at least 5 years.
- Accounting knowledge/bookkeeping experience in a trading industry preferable.
- Advanced IT skills with experience in ERP systems (preferably Navision) and MS Excel formulas/ spreadsheet development is a must.
- Ηave strong interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with colleagues/customers & suppliers.

- Be an excellent communicator.
- Attention to detail, act proactively, have problem solving skills.
- Be able to respond well to pressure.
