Σύμφωνα με την αναθεωρημένη λύση του Γεωδυναμικού Ινστιτούτου του Εθνικού Αστεροσκοπείου Αθηνών, ο σεισμός είχε μέγεθος 4 βαθμών της κλίμακας Ρίχτερ και το επίκεντρο εντοπίστηκε έξι χιλιόμετρα νοτιοανατολικά της Αμφιλοχίας.
Σύμφωνα με το Ευρωμεσογειακό Σεισμολογικό Κέντρο, η σεισμική δόνηση είχε μέγεθος 4,5 βαθμών της κλίμακας Ρίχτερ και το επίκεντρο ήταν έξι χιλιόμετρα ανατολικά της Αμφιλοχίας.
