Ο Πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίας κ. Νίκος Αναστασιάδης είχε σήμερα συνάντηση, στη Νέα Υόρκη, με τον Αρχιεπίσκοπο Αμερικής κ.κ. Ελπιδοφόρο.
Η συνάντηση, η οποία διήρκησε περίπου 20 λεπτά, πραγματοποιήθηκε στην οικία του Μόνιμου Αντιπροσώπου της Δημοκρατίας στα ΗΕ.
Μετά τη συνάντηση, ο Πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίας δήλωσε στα ΜΜΕ ότι «αυτό που προέχει είναι η ενότητα του Ελληνισμού.
Συνεπώς, μετά τις επεξηγήσεις, αν θέλετε, την απολογία του Σεβασμιότατου, θεωρώ ότι το θέμα έληξε».
