Οι τιμές του χαλκού και του σιδηρομεταλλεύματος ανήλθαν σήμερα σε ιστορικά υψηλά επίπεδα, χάρη στην ισχυρή ζήτηση, κυρίως από την Κίνα, και το αδύναμο δολάριο.
Η τιμή του χαλκού άγγιξε νωρίς σήμερα τα 10.253 δολάρια ανά τόνο στο Χρηματιστήριο Μετάλλων του Λονδίνου (LME), ξεπερνώντας το προηγούμενο ρεκόρ του Φεβρουαρίου του 2011, ενώ η τιμή του σιδηρομεταλλεύματος έφθασε τα 202,65 δολάρια, για πρώτη φορά σύμφωνα με τον δείκτη αναφοράς που καταρτίζει η S&P Platts από το 2008.
